A 1,200-word guide to a durable question passes.<\/p><p>Commercial pages qualify too. That is the whole mechanism, and it is where most sites fall short \u2014 not because the rule is hard, but because it applies retroactively to an archive nobody reopens.<\/p><p>Two refinements matter. Vary the <a href=\"https:\/\/internal-links-manager.com\/ar\/%d9%85%d8%b3%d8%b1%d8%af-%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%85%d8%b5%d8%b7%d9%84%d8%ad%d8%a7%d8%aa\/%d9%86%d8%b5-%d8%b1%d8%a7%d8%a8%d8%b7\/\">\u0646\u0635 \u0631\u0627\u0628\u0637<\/a>: forty identical phrases pointing at one page read as a pattern, not as forty editorial decisions. It carries the internal links of everything around it, so letting it go stale devalues the whole group.<\/p><p>A workable rhythm: review each one twice a year. Check that the examples still hold, that the advice has not been overtaken, and that new cluster pages published since the last review are linked from it. That last point is the one that slips \u2014 a pillar written eighteen months ago typically links to half the pages that now belong to it.<\/p><p>Updating in place is almost always better than publishing a successor. Most sites that use the concept end up with thirty cornerstone pages and no concentration at all, which is the same as having none.<\/p><p>Three signals that a page should be demoted: the subject is no longer central to the business; a newer page covers it better and the two are competing; or nobody has linked to it from new content in a year, which usually means writers no longer see it as the reference.<\/p><p>Demoting is not deleting. Search Console&#8217;s internal links report ranks every URL by how many it receives; your cornerstone pages should be at the top of that list, below only the homepage.<\/p><p>If they are not, the linking has not happened yet, whatever the content plan says.
